Hannah Knowles joined the KOMO News Team as a general reporter in June 2022.
Born in Washington, Hannah is excited and honored to return to her PNW roots.
Hannah won her first Emmy in Seattle for her wall-to-wall coverage of the 2022 Ice Storm.
Hannah comes to Seattle from Michigan, where she worked as the morning reporter and weekend anchor for three years.
Hannah will always value her time at WWMT News Channel 3, where she learned what it takes to be a strong storyteller and a voice for people in her community.
During her time in the Great Lakes State, she covered crime, education, and politics and weathered her fair share of midwestern snow storms. When people joke about Seattle's rain, Hannah likes to compare it to the frigid winters and lake-effect snow storms in Michigan.
Prior to Michigan, Hannah was in Jefferson City Missouri, at KRCG TV. There, Hannah perfected her multi-media skills as a “one-man band”.
Hannah quickly learned in Missouri how to anchor, report, edit, and shoot video.
Hannah is a proud graduate of The University of Utah, where she spent her college years as a cheerleader and writing for the university newspaper.
Hannah found her love for journalism at a young age and chased her dream until she landed an internship at KUTV 2 News in Salt Lake City.
In Hannah’s free time, you’ll find her spending time exploring new places, walking her dog, running, and making memories with friends and family.
Hannah is not only a passionate journalist but also a dedicated member of her community. If you see Hannah out and about, make sure, and say hi!
