On average, Seattle gets about 25 days a year that go over 80 degrees.SEATTLE - Seattle can thank its proximity to the Pacific Ocean for staying relatively cool in the summer months. But there are days when the winds blow from the east, and we get downright toasty.

On average, Seattle gets about 25 days a year that go over 80 degrees. Ten of those days will go over 85 degrees.

Days that hit 90 or more are pretty rare, averaging just two per year, while a day over 95 occurs about once-every-other year.

Days where we hit triple digits are exceedingly rare -- about once every 35 years. The all-time record high for Seattle is 100 degrees, which it has hit only 3 times over the past 110 years records have been kept.
