It's another foggy morning!
Today will be another Weather Warn Day with more dense areas of morning fog. Please ensure you're ready if you drive through a section of highway where the visibility drops abruptly this morning.
Drive with caution again today...fog will linger through late morning in some neighborhoods. Once again, temperatures have dipped below freezing, so keep an extra eye out for slick spots on the pavement should any sections ice over.
Otherwise, our oh-so-stagnant weather continues. Cold afternoon sunshine will return later today. Tonight, the fog and freezing temperatures creep back in. So tomorrow morning, you'll be familiar with the frigid foggy feel as you open your door to Wednesday.
But then it changes. Our ridging pattern, an 'anti-weather maker', breaks down enough for a weak disturbance to slide through. It'll bring some light rain on Friday. With snow levels at 8,000', this will melt a little of our snowpack at ski resorts. But not to worry. Another weather maker this weekend will bring in colder air aloft and bring snow levels back down for Sunday.
The weekend weather maker will be stronger, with heavier rains possible around Lowland cities like Seattle, Everett and Bellevue. It'll also gust the winds up above 20 mph. Sunday, a continued breeze will usher in a few more showers, and a chance for some nice mountain snow at our resorts. Monitor Pass conditions on Sunday for road trips over the mountains.
Drive safely!
